The Three Rivers Hotel is a quiet hotel in Carmarthen, the Three Rivers Hotel, one of the oldest Carmarthen hotels, is a hidden gem located in the heart of the Carmarthenshire, known as the Garden of Wales. With the additional features of cottages available and also a static caravan site conveniently, yet discreetly located nearby this is a fantastic venue for a quiet getaway in Wales.
Situated on the southern boundary of the Carmarthenshire seaside village of Ferryside nestling on the Three Rivers estuary of Carmarthen Bay and enjoying superb views of Llanstephan and its ancient castle to the west and of Carmarthen Bay towards Caldy Island and Tenby to the south west.
The accommodation was completed in 2003 using original stone to match the existing Georgian House combined with the highest quality materials and expertise, which is evident throughout the hotel.
All bedrooms are en-suite, spacious and tastefully furnished. Deluxe rooms all have sea view balconies.
The Three Rivers Hotel has to be one of the most secluded yet well appointed of all Carmarthen hotels. Many visitors return year after year and the hotel regularly receives excellent reviews.

Incorporated within the hotel is West Wale’s premier private health facility, Hotel patrons mayenjoy the full use of these facilities inclusive in the tariff.
The Three Rivers Health Suite, opened in 1997, was built to exceed the quality of facilities offered by any other private establishment in South West Wales. It is attached to the hotel accommodation. Direct entry can be made using entry cards provided.
The suite contains a 13m x 7m x 1.5m (average dimensions) swimming pool heated to between 30 and and 33 deg Celsius.
The large Jacuzzi, which is kept at approximately 2 degrees above the pool temperature has both auxiliary air and water jets. This makes for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
There are both sauna and steam rooms situated on the wet side of the changing rooms, adjacent to the swimming pool.
The gymnasium has over twenty up to date resistance and cardio vascular machines. The conditioned air is constantly maintained at approximately 55 degrees F. There is a qualified instructor available on request. We have a policy of “non interference” and encourage gymnasts to proceed at their own pace. A multi function toning bed is situated a private enclosure as is the solarium.
Special sessions suiting a variety of needs are held from time to time. A very popular session is the ladies only venue in the swimming pool on Tuesdays between 10.30am and 12.30pm. This is affectionately referred to as “Margaret’s Mermaids” by those attending.
Ferryside grew from the now non-operational ferry crossing on the river Tywi, on the ancient pilgrims route to St David’s Cathedral. It is uncommercialised, peaceful and quiet; the ideal getaway for a perfect weekend (or longer) break.
It is also, due to its’ proximity to Carmarthen, Llanelli and other centres, an ideal corporate meeting place.
Kidwelly, with its’ Norman castle, industrial heritage museum. Pembrey Country Park and Motorsport centre, within approximately 10 minutes travelling time.
The National Botanical Gardens are nearby. Laugharne (famous for Dylan Thomas) and many Pembrokeshire attractions are about a half hour drive.

Ffos Las has brought top class racing back to West Wales for the first time since 1937. The setting is magnificent. It is surrounded by rolling hills and countryside with views down the Gwendraeth valley to Carmarthen Bay.

Cefn Sidan Beach & Pembrey Country Park
Cefn Sidan beach has been described as one Europe’s best. This blue flag beach has at least 7 miles of golden sand edged by a belt of sand dunes. It forms part of Pembrey Country Park with its 200 hectares of grassland and forest. A variety of leisure activities include:- cycle hire, woodland trails, dry ski slope, adventure playground, pony trekking and mini golf.

This medieval castle is one of the most complete and best preserved in Wales . Views from the top across the Gwendraeth valley and out towards Pembrey are stunning. The town itself is equally ancient dating back to 1115AD.

National Botanical Gardens
The Botanical gardens have the worlds largest single span glasshouse home to plants from around the world, a tropical house and a beautifully restored double walled garden.

Millennium Coastal Path and Park
The Millennium coastal path is 22km pedestrian walkway and cycle way along the south coast of Carmarthenshire. The path runs through the Coastal Park offering a continuous traffic free route linking the National Wetlands, Bury Port, Millennium Quay and Discovery Centre through to Pembrey Country Park.

The Pembrey race track was said to be Ayrton Senna’s favourite track! It is deemed to be the home of Welsh motorsport providing racing for cars, motorcycles, karts and trucks. With a vast programme of events throughout the year this makes for an enjoyable day out.
